About

Founded in 1933, Ben Bailey Homes is Yorkshire's longest established housebuilder and a household name across the region. Set up by Ben Bailey, the philosophy was always to offer well-built homes which were good value-for-money. This philosophy remains the same today.

Through a combination of excellent building skills, hard work, vision and a sound business sense, Ben grew the company throughout the 30's, 40's and 50's with many homes built in the Dearne Valley region. Although the type of housing was uncomplicated, Ben Bailey realised the importance of individuality, using variations in external finishes and brick colours to produce attractive homes with a personal touch. This creativity and attention to detail is a quality that also has remained with the company ever since.

As time has gone by, many things have however changed. Ben's son, Richard, joined the company in 1967 and became Chairman in 1983 upon the death of his father.

Ben Bailey Homes now builds new homes in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and has recently moved into its third generation, when Jon Bailey, grandson of Ben, joined the company. This continuity ensures the strong principles put in place by his grandfather will remain for many years to come.
