The Benfield Group of companies was formed in 1933 when Ken Benfield, a carpenter, started in business. From small beginnings the company grew as both a general contractors, house builder and property developer.

Four Benfield operating companies are Chartered Building Companies, which means that the majority of the directors are professionally qualified.

As a group operating through four Chartered Building Companies you can feel secure in the knowledge that we are managed by professionally, qualified builders operating under a strict code of conduct and who are aware of our responsibilities towards health and safety and with a desire to provide you, the client, with a first class construction service every time. The group is also in membership of the National Federation of Builders and the House Builders' Federation.

Under the Benfield Homes banner we build a wide range of houses for sale from 2 bedroomed apartments to 5 bedroomed detached homes. Our logo "Benfield - Building Better Homes" sums up our attitude to quality.

Benfield Construction are our contracting division capable of handling traditionally tendered contracts or design and build schemes from planning to handover, a nursing home, a small urban infill development, a housing association scheme or a shopping precinct. Our philosophy is to work with the client and the architect to ensure that each project is completed on time, within budget and to the client's satisfaction.

Throughout the above companies our objective is to provide a service to our customers second to none. Our target is to have zero defects on handover and to provide our clients with cost effective, quality buildings whatever they may be, and to create a pleasant environment, combined with solid construction, low maintenance and affordable running costs.
